What Is Your Thoughts On Chickenfoot's New Album III
Well I'm a fan of Chickenfoot. This album to me blows away the debut album. There sound is better to me on this one. Joe Satriani really brings it on this album and Sammy Hagar's Vocals are better IMO on this release than the last one. They sound more like a truly tight band on this one. Well what's your thoughts on this one

I liked one or two of their songs OK, dont realy care to hear them again though. I wouldn't actually go out and buy any of their material.
They just sound like a throwback to the late 70s & 80s hard rock era/sound in my opinion. I would go for "Black Country Communion" if I wanted an actual good rock band that resonates good throwback rock music. |

Yeah, that's basically the way I feel also, except I don't exactly hate him. Hagar is an outstanding rock vocalist, but I just never cared for his solo work either. I liked him with Van Halen, but that was then. Not really interested in his latest material with (Chickenfoot) or solo.

I'm a fan of Satch and Chad Smith on drums, but can't get behind their work here. I've never liked Hagar and I don't know the bassist. I tried with the original Chickenfoot, but it's just too commercial for me.

I wasn't a big fan of Chickenfoot's first album, so I'm guessing that's why this one slipped under my radar. I'll give it a listen, but I'm waiting for the next album from 2009's best supergroup with an avian themed name... Them Crooked Vultures.

Love Them Crooked Vultures as well
I knew the name Michael Anthony, just wasn't sure where he was from. I didn't really follow or get into Van Halen but for a single or two. |
