It's a song that is very easy to find fault with, I think, but if perhaps Lars Ulrich was a bit less aggressive, and they all just calmed down a bit, then the song would have been very good.
I don't think he understood any of it, but "mu-shur-eeee-de-ma-dooo-du-ma-dahhh!" sounds awesome no matter who sings it.
i still go back to the Dubliners for that song, really - it's the only one which truly captures the feel and there is a Dick Turpin-like quality about the tale they spun

Thin Lizzy's version is not too bad, but they had tons of other better songs

Definitely.

All I was saying is that it was my favourite song from Garage Inc.

I thought Lulu was horrific. One of the worst albums I've ever heard.

I don't really like much Metallica post Garage Inc.

All my friends loved Death Magnetic but I thought it was crap.

Alright I gave in and decided to give Lulu a chance. I have to say, a lot of tracks are utter garbage. There is a couple of gems here and there but for the most part I couldn't stand listening to it. Iced Honey was one of the only tracks I could listen to in full. What were they both thinking when they made this?

Are you kidding? That was the worst song on the album! Here it is again for your benefit.

I've heard two sides about this album from two different kinds of people:

Hardcore Metallica fans who think everything Hetfield touches is gold: "This album is pretty amazing, I don't see many to any flaws to it at all.

People with sense: "This album sucks"

If it was made in the mid 60's it would be some kinda genius.

You would have to add Andy Warhol to the equation. Or..no way.

Wouldn't the members of Metallica be in gradeschool?

Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.
