Before They Make Me Run - inquiry about different version of this Rolling Stones song

About 30 years ago, when I was entering my teen period, I recall reading a comment in the periodical Stereo Review (before it morphed into Sound and Vision) about a version of the Rolling Stones song "Before They Make Me Run", different from the edition released on the Some Girls album. This version was reportedly released only as a b-side (its A-side not mentioned). The music critic who mentioned this, Steve Simels, stated further the b-side version was superior to the Some Girls album version.

Does this different, b-side version of "Before They Make Me Run" exist and is it available on any CD album or collection?
