Purple and No. 4 are my favourite albums. Purple probably being the best. The songs were distinct from one another and with the most variety. Core had the most grungy aspects, though it failed holding it. I personally liked the album but it's not great.

I always thought their 5th album, Shangri La, was underappreciated. That album had some great tunes.

This.

I was about to call Core a horrible ripoff of AiC's Dirt but come to find out both albums were released on the same day... So... it's a horrible ripoff of AiC's Facelift, with a twist of Pearl Jam's Ten.

Purple was a much stronger album and showed definite growth in the group but was largely ignored due to the fact that Core left a bad taste in a lot of mouths. Tiny Music... has more variety but almost ends up sounding too fabricated, like it becomes varied for the sake of variety. Though, Big Bang Baby is still a great burn on success and fame.

I thought Shangri La Dee Da was crap when I heard it then I got rid of my copy.

Favourite song.... 7 Caged Tigers even if it does lift the super reverb ending right out of Led Zep's Over The Hills and Far Away.
