Yeah. Considering both Soundgarden and Pearl Jam are both part of the same poll.

I'm originally from Seattle and even I don't think Alice in Chains is that great. The acoustic set is just one I like a lot.

Personally I think Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam to be in a different league from AIC. I'm not saying their terrible or anything, just very un-interesting and with a predictable sound.

Most of the Seattle era bands were influenced by Nirvana and the grunge scene, so a lot of the bands that came from there in the 90's will usually have that same predictable sound.

I sorta agree with the above statements. I really like AIC, I really do, but aside from Jar of Flies and a few songs here and there ("Man In a Box", "Would", "Down In a Hole", etc) they're just good, not truly great. Kinda generic, Layne Staley's voice can sound kinda campy and overdone at times, and a lot of times the whole dark sound they're going for doesn't really come through and all you have is some decent sludgy riffs.

Well, I'm an American and we don't have any idea what petrol is. Gas bombs would be scary though.
