I have actually seen it beat out Lord of the Rings for first spot on pretty much every Best Fantasy Series list I've seen. So, it's not just pretty good.

It is way better than the Lord of the Rings (claim made based on first hand experience). It's one damn epic series. Seriously, if you enjoy reading at all, you should be frantically racing to your nearest library or book store to pick this up.
