Alright so this is 70s rock as opposed to actual power metal, but any fan of epic fantasy metal should appreciate these dudes.

That explains it then, the band I thought you were talking about were a NWOBHM band from the early 1980s from said island.

I've been listening to this album Sign of the Hammer as it was an album I always regarded as one of the weaker albums in the Manowar canon, well glad I listened to it again as its a killer album with some of the best riffs Manowar have ever put out. The title track is a classic.

Hells to the yeah! Manowar are becoming one of my absolute fav metal bands. Kings of Metal indeed.
