Hell I haven`t even heard Polaris let alone Elysium! I`m one of these people that still hasn`t heard much stuff by any band released after 2009, I`ve got listening lists that just seem to go on and on, without actually going forward in time.

They haven`t been featured so far, but Gamma Ray along with Helloween and Blind Guardian made up the big 3 of the German power metal movement, the most important in Europe. They were formed when Kai Hansen left Helloween and unlike their counterparts who predominantly featured a non instrument playing lead vocalist (keeping in 1970s & 1980s metal tradition here) Kai Hansen played lead guitar and was the lead vocalist of the band. Gamma Ray have always featured killer guitar solos, but on this album their fourth they easily put out their best release to date

The Batlord has actually selected this album for his up-coming power metal battle on metal wars

You seem to be a massive fan of Blind Guardian.

How angry would you be with me if I posted the ONLY Dragonforce song I don't hate with every iota of energy in my body here? And believe me, it isn't even that good, but at least they slow themselves down for a bit and it kinda has a tune as well.

This is a democracy, so post what you want and say what you want.

Even I don't hate EVERY Dragonforce song. They play the same song over and over again, so eventually even they have to get it right eventually.

Yes, but Dragonforce are pure untempered bull !@#*. People may be very angry. All the same, here goes:

Mighty Salami presents the least awful Dragonforce song ever written:

DragonForce - Trail Of Broken Hearts - YouTube

There you have it. Still horrible, and a really tuneless guitar solo, but I'd be prepared to listen to it for fun. And it does have some sort of melody that after 80 million years of evolution may yet be able to form part of a real metal song!
