^If you dont like a band, listening to them again isn't just going to magically change your opinion on them. If he doesnt like Metallica, Im sure he has a reason to, its not just that no one else likes them so he doesn't.

edit: Sorry, I just realised this was adidasss's thread in the first place... Hmm, so his reasons for hating Metallica are a bit off... Ive said this before and Ill say it again, you should hate a band because of the music, not because of some argument involving the members.

It would be kind of stupid just to say that Metallica played better music when they were drunk, but I believe it's more than that. I think that back when Metallica was startin out, they actually played their music because they loved to. Now I think that they just play just to get a fat paycheck... It shows in their music...

I dont, they've lost more fans than they've gained with St Anger... Thanks to all the sell-out comments anyway.. I agree their earlier stuff is way better, but I dont think its gotten worse because they want money, they've just lost their edge a bit after all the years...

and as i've stated many, many times on this thread before, i don't like their music and i've stated why i hate them and don't respect them as musitians ( "alternative" musitians ), i think st. anger is really really weak ( quality wise ), i liked some mettalica songs back in 97 98 i think, unforgiven 1 and 2, but that was not nearly enough to make me wanna listen to more...

People have been hating Metallica for years. And from reading all these posts, I think probably 99% of the haters aren't even familiar with Metallica's music before 1991. I'd judge a band when they were at their peak, not when they withering away. It's too easy and fashionable to hate >90s Metallica.
