Years after deciding this song was too corny even for me I'm coming back around due to it being the most charmingly kitschy metal song that's still good ever. Like it's maybe the closest metal ever came to realizing what ICP accomplished, though it's nowhere near that level and I still don't know if it's self-aware about how stupid it is.

Oh and Countdown to Extinction >>> The Black Album.

Haven't listened to the above track yet but it made me go back and listen to Surgical Steel for the first time since it came out in 2013 and while I remember liking it now it sounds stale, toothless, and unmemorable. The band sound like they have nothing in the tank and if Michael Amott did have anything left he certainly wasn't wasting it on his now side project.
