Faith No More's The Real Thing is one of my favorite albums of all time, and that's technically a funk metal / prog hybrid. Underrated genre for sure.

What's your opinion on Introduce Yourself? I see a lot of people knock that album, when personally I think it's FNM's most consistent and best album.

The Real Thing of course is great though. Surprise You're Dead! and Falling to Pieces are among my favorite songs from them. The bonus track Woodpecker From Mars is a fantastic instrumental too.

Even though the singer at that time is kinda terrible, I like Introduce Yourself a lot more than The Real Thing. It just has better songs and overall sounds more atmospheric.

Angel Dust and King for a Day are my faves by far though.

Chuck Mosley was the best kind of terrible there is lmao. I actually prefer him in Cement to his FNM career. Check it out if you haven't already.

Yeah, Cement's fantastic too. The Man With the Action Hair is in my opinion the best other album from a FNM member.

Yeah, the atmosphere is one of the things I love about that album. I haven't heard anything else like it. It's really cool hearing these thrash-funk riffs playing over this grandiose keyboard background. This is probably my favorite FNM song of all time:

You guys are nuts if you think the songwriting is better than...well, anything really on The Real Thing. Album was god-tier the second it hit airwaves with 'Epic', and Patton ****ing crushes on the title track.

I've always liked 'The Crab Song' a lot though.
