Why can't more post-thrash be this bludgeoning? That first Machine Head album was too long and kind of repetitive, but it was also one of the heaviest things ever made. Pantera for people who'd listened to death metal.

Oh and Pantera might be overrated by the general public but the desire to curb stomp someone is still an artistically valid expression so this song ****ing rules. Toxic masculinity brought to a beautiful art form.

^Vulgar Display of Power is my go-to anger album. When I'm pissed off, that album almost always gets the first play on my stereo.

Yeah, just snagged Cleansing at a thrift store today and it's so good. Like with Vulgar Display, it's one of those albums that is a perfect outlet for getting anger and frustration out.

Y'all listening to Trappist yet? Great crossover thrash/metallic hardcore from Texas. And all the songs are about beer. They're heavy, hilarious, and insanely fun.

I'm just casually throwing it out there that this is no doubt the best metal album of 2018 so far:

Arkona - Khram
