Killer opener to a classic album. Great breakdown. This is a classic track. Not sure why I'm describing it.

Love that album, always been my favorite from them. I love the screeching distortion combined with the crushing riffs in the opening. This is probably my favorite from the album though:

Meshuggah has always known how to make some of the most addicting grooves.

The quintessential hype up song from a fairly bad movie.

I know I've heard that song before but probably not in a decade. It sounds like the quintessential Countdown B-side. It's got a nice riff, with a verse cut from "Sweating Bullets" but that chorus shows absolutely no effort. They just threw a chorus together with a song they wrote for the 90s but didn't have any faith in so they threw it on a movie soundtrack cause **** it why not they still get a paycheck.

I hate to use the term "sellout" but 90s Megadeth towed a very fine line between making music they gave a **** about and making music to make money and I honestly don't know where the line is drawn. Probably a lot thinner than I'd like to believe tbh.

Eh. I don't really think about music like that. Why wouldn't they write music that they care about? Mustaine has returned to that 90's melodicism on every album ever since, even when people want him to write aggressive thrash, so it seems clear enough that there's something genuine there.

I think most musicians are genuine, honestly. Who wants to go touring with music that they doesn't even care for.

For that matter, I think 90's Megadeth is by far the best Megadeth.

Nah, "Angry Again" quite clearly shows them making a song that was easy to write with a chorus that sounded like it could have made it on rock radio while also having nothing to do with Megadeth's actual sound. It sounds like Dave Mustaine on cruise control and not actually giving a **** about the end product so long as it could make him some money.

Why wouldn't they write music that they care about? Because they could instead write music that could pay their mortgage. It's pretty dumb to think that a band a decade into their career might not write a song they thought would be a secure financial bet. People want to eat food after all.

Me neither, but you can definitely hear that kind of shift in a lot of artists.

I think that the goal of getting on MTV and the radio was what led him to that sound though.

Deth wrote and recorded the song just for Last Action Hero. I think it's cool when bands do that, personally.

The song isn't meant to be too serious nor complex, which complements the movie it was made for.
