Listening to the 25th Anniversary edition of Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?, and I haven't yet heard any of execrable vocal rerecordings of the original remasters (couldn't say about the instrumental rerecordings). The sound has been remastered as remasters should, however, and hits like an absolute ****ing truck.
I hope Dave takes the ****ing hint and throws the original remasters in the trash, where they belong (Killing Is My Business can live, since the only major change made that I could tell was censoring "These Boots" and moving it to the back of the album, but that was due to legal issues, so you can't really blame the band). I've avoided the remasters in general -- thankfully I burned the originals years before they were ruined -- and after hearing a song off the new version of Rust in Peace, I don't feel that I've been depriving myself in any way shape or form. Regardless, this is some cool-as-**** ****. (couldn't find the new version on Youtube)
