This may be more on topic, but maybe not, it may be more appropriate in the classic rock section.

I am curious to hear everyone's opinions on the song Whiskey In The Jar, as you all most likely already know, the first was done by Thin Lizzy and the the second is by Metallica. I really like both, I really like the original Thin Lizzy version, and I almost always prefer a song done by the original band/artist, but in this case I tend to be drawn more towards the Metallica version, not sure why really, for some strange reason I think prefer the more aggressive sound of it I suppose.

So, I suppose what I am asking is which version of the song do you prefer and why? I am also aware that this song may not be "metal" enough for most of you, but I can't resist asking anyway.
