Their first album had a much poppier sound than Shout at the Devil, but is almost as amazing. It's what their later albums might have sounded like if they'd still given a ****. This song, "Live Wire", was probably the closest Motley Crue ever came to speed metal.

I love pop, and I love metal. One more catchy one before I crawl back down in the hole.

I've rediscovered my old love of Motley Crue, and their first album in particular. This is probably the fifth time I've thrown it on in two days. I've even started rereading their autobiography. Yeah, I said it.

How Like A Winter -- "A Flower that Sears in Silence"
I like the time signature changes, the morose sound of the instrumentals, and the variety of vocals in the song: growl, female choir, and clean vocals.

I've been listening to this on repeat all day today.

Day three and I'm still replaying Motley Crue's first two albums over and over again. I don't often go on a Motley Crue binge, but when I do, I binge hard. I can't remember the last time a musical kick lasted this long.

Only three days?? That sounds like a mere taste rather than a binge to me.

Onset - "Stvořen k zániku"
I have no idea what they are singing about, although the Czech title translates as, "Made in the termination of the Agency," but I like the sound of this song:

Onset - Stvo

I generally don't go on binges for a single band for more than a few hours. This is the most obsessed with one band that I've been in forever. I've even brought out my old copy of New Tattoo, the "comeback" album from like twelve years ago. Not a terrible album, but certainly not an album that anyone but a diehard need listen to.

Pure cheeseball fun. Sweet.
