This would be 10/10 unassailable without vocals but unfortunately they do require being ignored or else the suffocating atmosphere is kind of ruined.

This is an admittedly gimmicky melodic death/folk metal song that I hope doesn't get forgotten by history cause it ****ing rips and is fun.

When I saw this band's big dumb name in my thrash folder I had no idea what it was or why I downloaded it so I listened to it and it is what I shall call Big Dumb Thrash. In a good way.

People be like "The vocalist is not suitable for this band and they don't enunciate properly" or some **** and I'm just like "As long as you're clearly drunk and wearing spiked wristbands I love you".

I love the hell out of this album. I always remembered the big singles because they were in Mortal Kombat ('Genius") and Twisted Metal 3 ("Microwaved", "WYSIWYG"), but didn't discover the band that made those songs until about five years ago. I love everything they did from Infotainment forward, their old **** sounds too much like Godflesh, and if I wanted to listen to Godflesh I would just listen to the real thing.

Years ago it was either HHBH or Mondo who rec'd Lord Mantis and I completely forgot about them until just now. Blackened sludge hate**** that never forgets to be fun.
