Like a more punk, less doomy Eyehategod. Not quite as soul gutting but more toe tapping. Bombass stuff.

Perseverence is the Pantera album without songwriting but with everything you want from Pantera given to you in the most easily digestible way with bombass hardcore breakdowns. It's not an album you need all the time but it's good for a rundown every now and again.

For anyone who talks **** about Van Halen they just need to listen to the debut to hear what a wild, energetic, and inventive pop band in metal form they were song after song after song. It's pretty unsettling just how capable they were of being a perfect band for an entire record. They had a magic that I've never heard repeated either in sound or in approach.

They truly perfected being obnoxious twats.

Their obnoxious charisma was something to behold. Bruh if you love originality and novelty that hasn't been replicated then you need to give Van Halen a serious dive cause they really were magic when they still mattered.

I'm more of a Randy Rhoads guy.

As a guitarist he slays, but "his band" wasn't that much greater than his playing. Van Halen were fantastic as a unit.
