I've listed to the new Sunn O)))) record, thoroughly disappointed.

There's something so generic and basic bitch about Merauder's style of dunderheaded NY metallic hardcore but they beat ass so well that all is forgiven.

Shadows Fall have enough good things about them that I keep coming back to see if I now like them as much as I did when I was 20, but the middle-of-the-road blandness might just be insurmountable. TBH they kinda sound like the Nickelback of metalcore.

My favourite Shadows Fall song is the lead singer's super cool dreadlocks. I also remember liking Redemption back in the day.

I bet he cried when he cut them off the day before his first job interview after the band broke up.
