Not even close. "Wolverine Blues" is not superior by any stretch of the imagination.
Wolverine Blues is as overrated as "Heartwork" and "Slaughter of the Soul". Not entirely bad in it's own way, but still boring and generic.
Entombed went from being Homer on the first 2 albums, to Homer Simpson on "Wolverine Blues".
"Left Hand Path" is a much better album than "Wolverine Blues" in every respect. "Wolverine Blues" is just mainstream sounding death n roll, easy to digest. "Left Hand Path" is one of the best Swedish DM albums, "Wolverine Blues" is just average.
p.s. Vertigo: If you like "Left Hand Path" check out Dismember and their album "Like an Ever Flowing Stream".... that album is one that came out in the wake of "Left Hand Path".... in some ways they just basically cloned Entombed, but even though they did... they added so much more to the formula and made an album that tops "Left Hand Path". That is an album you should enjoy.
