I love that Blood on the Ice is one of the most awesome and menacing sounding thrash songs, and it's about Hockey. They also somehow make a song about condoms sound good. Also Toe Jam has such great contrasts. Like it's this insane speed metal shred that has death metal-intensity with Robb Reiner's incredible drumming, but then you have Lips coming in with this goofy-ass delivery of "tOE jAm!".

One of the most cartoonishly brutal death metal albums I've ever heard and therefore one of the best. If I had a sub-woofer this would probably be a top five DM album.

While this is a great album, and probably their best, I can't help but wish there were at least a couple more ridiculously heavy songs like Swim on here. But I guess Fishbone wouldn't be Fishbone if they didn't cram a bunch of different types of songs on an album.

Congrats Mic, your fanboyism for Dir en Grey has finally paid off. This is a great album, definitely one of the better albums I've heard this year. Great mix of metalcore, alt metal, and nu metal with a bit of avant-garde.
