Dickinson Iron Maiden just don't do it for me like they used to but Di'Anno Maiden is still the jam.

TFW Iron Maiden didn't yet quite know how to combine their sound with Bruce Dickinson to make overblown arena(ish) metal but still somehow utilized him to perfection. Top 5 Maiden song.

Dickinson peaked with them around Somewhere In Time IMO. Love the production especially.

Listening to Maiden heavily for the first time in a long time and just so happen to be listening to that album atm.

I'm kind of in a trying to listen to them for the first time moment. I've had a long and convoluted listening history with Maiden that's left me kinda jaded and I appreciate Maiden's attempts at more complex songs that finally came to fruition with Somewhere in Time. It's nice that they left behind a lot of the corny anthemic tendencies that makes a lot of their earlier music seem tepid and dated.
