I've always liked 'The Crab Song' a lot though.
The hooks on that album are something the **** else.

Sometimes the hooks are so godlike that they transcend genre and sit at Odin's table next to Madonna and the Kinks.

^ So many good hooks a slaughterhouse couldn't contain them all.

Also, been revisiting Dissona today. One of the more interesting extreme metal bands of the last few years.

and also really pumped for the new album by Sigh coming this month. Phil Anselmo is apparently on this song.

One of the all-time great thrash, proto-thrash, power metal, speed metal, early 80s metal tracks ever. This song has been implanted in my DNA since high school and ****s your **** up no matter what decade you're in. I once described Harry Conklin's vocals as a metal used car salesman and I'm no longer entirely sure what that means but it's one of the opinions that made me a metal fan so I guess it's cool.

****ing love this performance of the song. The music sounds huge with headphones on. So heavy, but so beautiful.

New live recording of an older song of theirs.

All the fun energy in the world. Early thrash and speed metal was the definitive era in metal.

The first several Overkill albums were better than almost anything else in the genre from that time.

Under the Influence is my fave.

Never Say Never has one of the coolest and most fun to play basslines in all of metal history, DD Verni goes strangely underrated in talks of great metal bassists:

Years of Decay is my favorite, but Under the Influence is a real close second. Shred, Never Say Never, Hello From the Gutter, Brainfade, Drunken Wisdom, and Head First especially are god-tier.

Under the Influence was a step down for Overkill tbh. Doesn't have the balls out energy of their earlier albums and the tunes weren't quite as on point as later albums. Still a good album.
