Even producers like Max Martin who write radio hits for the big pop stars must put some heart into at least some of those tracks. They're still artists making music, using their own sensibilities. |

I don't like that dichotomy either but that was clearly a paycheck song and not one that felt like it had much of Mustaine's heart in it. Honestly if you're going to write a song to put on a soundtrack (that's probably not going to set the world on fire anyway) and not an album why are you going to waste your best ideas? Just give them good enough for government work with a good chorus and get back to your real job.
