I'm just disappointed no one has ever bothered to tell me that they exist.

There's just something great about bands like Warlord and others doing the whole crossover Christian prog-metal/USPM thing. Great bands with a deft grasp on atmosphere. :love:

I think Skeletonwitch shreds. They're nothing innovative but they're great musicians who have a good knack for simultaneously sick and catchy riffs.

I never liked them because they play thrash with no energy much like any thrash revival band but throw in a bit of boring black metal influence to make them sound different from Municipal Waste when they were never any better.

they're cooler than 3 Inches of Blood tho

I don't care to make a value judgement cause they're both in that cringey late 00s metal category where magazines and websites were desperately trying to bring back the 80s. Hell 3 Inches of Blood can actually be fun in a thoroughly ironic sense.

I've been trying to listen to Lamb of God's last album, Sturm und Drang, which was supposedly a return to form but it's just as dull as Sacrament which was my breaking point. It doesn't even have the songwriting panache of As the Palaces Burn or Ashes of the Wake and I don't even particularly like those for their sterile production and uninteresting sound. So as far as I'm concerned Lamb of God will only ever be worthwhile for Burn the Priest and New American Gospel. Why are so many people so stupid about this and why is the band so clueless about why they were good in the first place?
