Hey speaking of Rammstein, I remember you, Batty, recommended me something by them awhile ago. I just dug it up and this is way better than I remember it being.

Hells yeah. "Rammstein" goes hard as a bitch.

I know this album gets love from bull**** BEST OF metal albums lists, but it doesn't get nearly enough love on this site for being one of the best metal albums of all-time.

It's okay if it's Herzeleid. Sehnsucht is still pretty alright, but after the debut they just got more and more polished and stale.

I like their first 3 albums, and "Live Aus Berlin" a lot.

Mutter is about when I disown the band. They were still a good pop metal band, but I just can't bring myself to care about any of that ****, even if I was about it back in the day. Herzeleid was simply the last time they could lay claim to having any kind of edge. They were like a pop version of Pitchshifter, and that was an awesome thing.

I don't know, maybe I'll come back around to Mutter at some point. I wouldn't be surprised, but atm I don't care.

Holy **** this is probably my second favorite album ever now. Hell Awaits is probably the only other album that can compete with it in terms of intensity.

You'll never get me to say that.

I feel like giving it a go. Melodeath isn't my favorite thing, but it's always fun to see if a record lives up to the hype.

Being the progenitor of the genre and not actually a genre album itself it's much different than you're probably expecting. More like death metal reverting to Slayer, rather than turbo-charged Iron Maiden.

These guys aren't reinventing the wheel or anything, but as far as the whole "modern" traditional / heavy metal sound goes there's a lot to like.
