I feel like Heaven Shall Burn need to switch out a guitarist or something with a grade-A songwriter. They've got an amazing sound, but not nearly enough truly great songs to go along with it. They seem like a band who either never quite lived up to their potential or tricked us into thinking they had more potential than they ever did. With a top notch songwriter these guys could have been bigger than Jesus.

But this song ****ing bangs.

Good tune, just downloaded it.

His vocals resemble the vocals in the band Misery Signals.

Bitch, Misery Signals ain't got **** on that monster. Granted, I'm pretty sure it's half studio effects, but that **** is still immense.

JiggleMonster 12-16-2017 12:25 PM

Was never a big fan of Misery Signals.

They're alright, but yeah never got the hype. You should check out Stampin' Ground though. They got that Slayer meets 90s hardcore thing on lock. Arkangel as well. Pure metalcore savagery.

I'm not 100% sure I like this, but this is astonishingly brutal and visceral for an 80s album.

Their follow up I feel is better, I love Autopsy, one of the best bands... and still releasing some of the best Death Metal. They had a but of a wierd era, but when they are on top of the game, they blow many away.

Dark Angel's approach to thrash metal was so different than all of their contemporaries. Hoglan commented a week ago that he is still writing stuff for a new DA album. These guys never put out a bad album, and that has me excited about the ideas he's held onto for 20+ years.

They reunited a number of years back and there was talk of new material but nothing ever came of it, so unless you know something I don't then I'm dubious. But I'll certainly flip my **** if the announcement ever comes.
