I came here to **** on you for listening to nu thrash since I recognize that band but haven't listened to them, but I still had to actually hear the band before I could mock you in good conscience. A lot better than I expected tbh. Jesus that's actually kind of ****ing awesome.

Hell yeah. The best thrash album I've discovered in quite a while.
Seriously rivals some classics imo.
Was sure you'd know it.

I don't listen to that **** tbh. A sad few gems amongst a sea of annoying, tepid, schlocky mediocrity.

Sure. **** modern thrash. In general.

Evile's debut is the **** though.

I've actually listened to this today.
Pretty cool, but the vocals are a lame. As previously stated, I'm a bit choosy when it comes to thrash vocals.

Eh, they're fine for me, but if the riffs are on point I don't mind uninspired vocals so long as there isn't something annoying about them. Tom Arayas and Bobby Blitz are pretty rare in thrash. I'm certainly not going to let a vocalist get in the way of awesome thrashing since that's 95% of the reason to listen to the genre in the first place.

Riffs are the most important thing in thrash but a huge reason why I love Slayer or Overkill so much are the cool vocals.

A great thrash vocalist can definitely put a band way over the top of just about any other type of metal band afaic, since the genre is still close enough to more "listenable" forms of music that there's possibility for more variety in singing styles than just screaming in an interesting way, while being right at the portal of extremity so that a unique aggressive singer can still shine without sounding at all inappropriate.

None of them will ever be able to front a bizarre, experimental, extreme metal band that blows your mind with what-in-the-****-even-is-this, but as far as any kind of more straightforward metal I think thrash has the most potential for winning big with a great singer.

But I can still just crack out to great thrash riffs for hours on end even with a mediocre singer.

Oh and if there weren't so many epitomes of thrash bands with ****ty singers but amazing riffs then I'd say these guys were the epitome of that thing. Tech thrash is way better than tech death.
