You know, thinking about it now, my level of excitement about this song has not dipped in the ~11 years I've known it. It's always good.

Oh and this is the most important part..

super**** the rest of this album.

That was the start of super boring Metallica, Bob Rock just sucked the life out of them.

Even Sad but True is boring, it may feel better than the rest only because the rest is just as bad, its the least worst thought i guess.

Boring Metallica started with “One”. Across all of their albums they've had boring stuff actually.

This EP is one of the scuzziest, most low-rent things ever. I love 80s metal, but this could be the best release in 80s underground metal.

One had something going on for it, They always had that kind of tyrack on every album.

Black Album is boring, stale mess.

Basically out of all "track 4" songs, One was better than many.

It's no "I.N.R.I."

Yes it is. Honestly INRI's production is kinda lightweight and takes away some of the punch. Needed to be even more filthy.

I find it works for what it is though.

There are some pretty good lo-fi kind of records. I like that, Deathcrush is not really one of those though, the production is actually pretty good for a black metal album. I don't find it that same type of thing, listening to it, it feels professional.

I don't mean that the production is lo-fi, I mean that it's weak.

I find it works fine compared to what else was happening in that scene at the time. I think it is what "Morbid Visions" could have sounded like and been much better.
