Vio-lence's Live @ Slims album that was a bonus CD to the Eternal Nightmare re-release is a great way to hear those other songs in a way better context that made them seem less ****ty, but they're still not as good as the Eternal Nightmare songs. It's a ****ing great live album, and the version of "Kill on Command" is the best thing they ever recorded and possibly a top 10 thrash song. ****ing ill. Would have killed to see them when they reformed.

That album is WAY better than anything Fear Factory ever put out. And it's def way more indebted to Pantera. It's Pantera if they ever acknowledged that anything as intense as death metal existed.

I mean it's fine but nothing on Burn My Eyes. I've never listened to a Fear Factory album that was anything more than "good". Or were you just talking about influence?

I still have a deep love for "Demanufacture"

I will honestly take this album over "Burn Your Eyes".

Influence mainly, I mean Rob Flynn on BYE even owes to the vocal style and pattern Burton C. Bell really started. There are parts on BYE that are very similar to what Fear Factory did.

Good is pretty much the level. It just rocks and is somewhat cool with the industrial elements and I've never even listened to a Machine Head album

Give Burn Your Eyes a chance.

I think if we did another album vs. album match up... Burn My Eyes vs. Demanufacture would be a great match. The albums are similar enough, but also different enough... I personally would go for Demanufacture over BME, but it would be a good match up.

Oppressing the Masses is simply a sub-par release and not worth your time, and most certainly not a shadow on the brilliance of Eternal Nightmare, which is one of the greatest metal albums ever recorded. I honestly don't even have the slightest clue what the **** you're even on about.
It has better riffs, and all the songs on Eternal Nightmare are just cheap copies of this
