Bleh. And that singer is much worse than Anselmo.

The singer is raw and angry as **** though and perfect for the music.

I legit feel disgusted by this tbh. It so ****ing is not. Vio-lence clearly had a shallow pool of songs and it's a good thing they reduced their debut to seven songs of pure fire, cause from their subsequent releases it's clear that they only had one album in them. Oppressing the Masses is simply a sub-par release and not worth your time, and most certainly not a shadow on the brilliance of Eternal Nightmare, which is one of the greatest metal albums ever recorded. I honestly don't even have the slightest clue what the **** you're even on about.

I am going to have to agree with this.

I like that Machine Head album, a part of me still thinks they owe some to Fear Factory.. but that is okay.

one of the most crushing albums of all-time. I need to the reissue.

The Batlord 11-08-2017 07:30 PM

Vio-lence's Live @ Slims album that was a bonus CD to the Eternal Nightmare re-release is a great way to hear those other songs in a way better context that made them seem less ****ty, but they're still not as good as the Eternal Nightmare songs. It's a ****ing great live album, and the version of "Kill on Command" is the best thing they ever recorded and possibly a top 10 thrash song. ****ing ill. Would have killed to see them when they reformed.
