That kind of **** is certainly an acquired taste, but it's also one of the greatest joys of metal. It's the pure stuff at the heart of all aggressive metal (i.e. not post-metal, drone metal, or funeral doom).

Or Prog or Power Metal. And definitely not Symphonic Metal.

The Batlord 10-13-2017 05:20 PM

Nah, lots of modern power metal dropped the aggressive ****, but power metal has plenty of influence from the scuzzier side of early-mid 80s metal, even if it was more Omen than Bathory. Early USPM basically.

Power metal with balls.

Also a year ago you hated Demilich’s vocals. I think you’ll come around to these.

Never.

Not a fan, but that riff rules.

Beautiful but still savage, relentless grind. I just wish they'd popped out just one more album to see just how far they could take those guitar textures.

Surely you can find a way to spam this thread, too, with your Kesha worship?

I think Insect Warfare do Terrorizer better than Terrorizer. Goddamn those grooves are monstrously fun. I'm kind of mad at myself for never picking this up when it came out and I kept being interested in it at the CD store just for the name.
