Pretty cool mid section especially! It's pretty allright.

I've definitely never heard of this band before. I checked out a bit more of their material on Youtube and they seem pretty interesting. I'm going to come back to them again for sure. The first comparison that came to mind was Dark Angel + Sentenced.

The Slayer adventure went less well. I can appreciate the vibe Hell Awaits has. It's more exciting to listen to than their later records as far as the sound goes, but it's not something I could really get into for real. I'm pretty much done with regular thrash metal.

Hmm. I'd have to agree. Even I can appreciate Slayer, at least for the metal giants they are, or rather, were. Go on Tom ya good thing ya!

Ugh. This song is one of the best trad metal/thrash metal hybrids ever.

I just don't find them all that interesting, plus all their songs sound the same when you start trying to listen to all their albums. I even used to own 5+ albums of theirs. Eventually I realized that listening to Behind the Crooked Cross very rarely on Youtube is all the Slayer I really need. Out of the big 4, I was only ever really into Slayer and Megadeth, plus very little in the genre beyond that.
