If you don't like this, you have NO TASTE IN REAL MUSIC. Saint Peter won't let you into heaven.

I find it amusing that the first few seconds of this album start out exactly like Despised Icon's The Ills of Modern Man, and has some deathcore elements throughout, but is instead highly savage and stripped down deathgrind that gets many of the actual good parts of deathcore right. Except, you know, they're not a deathcore band, just on similar but very divergent wavelengths.

It seems like the best albums in any genre is not actually a part of that genre.

People tend to focus on None So Vile and sure, it's ****ing stellar, but their debut is just so damn good.

Indeed. Wyrm's vocals tend to have a bit too much fun making random noises on that album though, rather than always meshing with the music, but he's got such a singular approach that I still dig his ridiculous vocal antics. I've got None So Vile for his more focused performance anyway. |
I don't mean to spam about Cryptopsy but I literally just now threw the album on casually and then it just shot me in the head. OMFG kill whoever this song is about killing. Oh, I mean I'll worship whoever this is telling me to worship. WTF is this song about tbh. I totally forgot the lyrics.
But what must it have felt like to hear this **** on its release not knowing what was about to happen? I might have had to urinate in my neighbor's gas tank. And the back end of "Slit Your Guts" is breakdown heaven. This is a one two punch that feels like the world's most violent NYHC band playing the most ****ed up deathgrind. I always feel like I interpret this band's sound subtley different at times and I end up spouting random **** that I didn't say the last time. |
Hey at least out of all the **** you spam, Cryptopsy earned it.

lulz but seriously grindy is right. Blasphemy Made Flesh has **** like this and is amazing.
