Has there ever been a traditional metal band more awesome than British, American, German and Swedish bands? Yes, of course.

Necrophagist actually have some fun riffs. They don't do much with them, but as background noise they're actually not nearly as bad as if you're actively listening to them. They're even kind of enjoyable tbh.

So are you about that thrash life or just a tourist? It's fine either way, I'm just curious if there's in-depth discussion to be had or if I just hurl unwanted recs at you.

In my teens I explored lots of metal, I've played guitar in several college bands back then. I've explored the whole general spectrum of metal, I know the lingo and community but I'm always up for recommendations.
