Don't get me wrong, that **** is cool, but speed does not necessarily win over filthy, disgusting, savage riffs and vocals from the bottom of a well that's the entrance to hell.

This is one of the best Metal albums i have heard in a long time. This band is becoming one of my favorites, hope for more albums as amazing as this.

Coroner don't have much to recommend them beyond cool, techy riffs. Their singer is ass, the production is cheap and weak, and the songs are far too dominated by overly technical ****. But god damn do they have a **** ton of amazing riffs. So all that other **** really just doesn't even matter.

Domkraft are a new stoner/doom trio out of Sweden. Plenty of heavy doom/stoner riffage, with straight stoner-style vocals. (No ****) But they do it with a pinch of heavy-psyche atmosphere and swirling freakouts and top it off with a dash of hard rock to help speed things up.

Not the heaviest stuff out there, but they do a good job of mixing in some more listenable genres with their stoner/doom roots, but don't compromise on them either.

For some reason I never see Protector get any love from death thrash fans on this forum. They may not be quite as crushing as Demolition Hammer, or as raw as Morbid Saint, but they are in the 99th percentile of savagery and riffs.

TFW you're listening to some savage thrash and wondering why it sounds so quiet, then you realize your volume is turned way down and when you turn it up you have to headbang.

Ah hell yeah! Cynic's releasing a demo comp! This could be the best metal comp in death metal history when you realize these two demos will be on it.





Their '91 demo in particular makes my head spin it's so complicated. I got to remember to pre-order this.
