As someone on a heavy pop kick, Manowar are orgasmic at the moment. Pure fun and energy and awesomeness. **** the haters, Manowar are gods. And yes, the typo in the song title is hilarious.

Love this album.

The "Preach Eternal Gospels" EP is amazing too.

I wonder what would have happened if you stuck Trey Azagthoth and Chuck Schuldiner in the same band and told Chuck to play nice? Trey's serpentine, alien riffs, with Chuck's mystical leads? I think I just nutted.

This is a video compilation of unknown, but great heavy metal bands in the old style: 80's heavy metal or even hard rock.
Some of these bands don't have released albums, but are worth listening to.

So uh, this might be a little bit overrated. It's highly awesome and brutal and heavy, with superb blasts of black metal that sound very nice after all the doom, and for the most part is a textural monstrosity. But I really wish there was more diversity within the drone suites, each track sounds like it's rehashing all the same noise from the one before, and with that in mind in goes on for pretty long. I think some of this could be cut and it'd be way better.
