You know those songs that are really just a build up, a monstrous breakdown, and then an "epilogue", while being so badass that any charge of shallowness would be missing the point? Yeah.

Never has glacial doom been so fun. Been listening to Reverend Bizarre all day and not at all tired of them yet.
Lord Vicar has the guitarist from Reverend Bizarre, so if you didn't get enough of those riffs when they were still a band you can still get your fix. Not quite as good as Reverend Bizarre, but still highly solid trad doom that goes hard as ****.
Still the best and most violent metalcore album of all-time.
it's trve

Aaaaaaaand back to Reverend Bizarre. So much ****ing fun for doom. This band is like the ultimate realization of cheese metal if power metal bands looked to Black Sabbath rather than Iron Maiden.
this album like literally never gets old

Atmosphere in atmospheric black metal is underrated honestly. I'm talking about sculpting a unique atmosphere with sound. Building atmosphere so deep and apparent it's like you're there in whatever setting is being depicted. Yeah distant sounding riffs and twinkly keyboards are cool and all, but it's something special when the music constructs such atmosphere

Can you believe that this is from 1985?
