I wish Sylosis didn't, or at least had better sounding clean vocals. I'm not one to say all clean vocals sound gay but Sylosis's clean vocals are really gay.

And then just about everything else they do rips.

I dunno what it is about PtH's vocals but I really love them tbh. Very impressive range too.

I could swear that I had a Sylosis album, but apparently not, so I'll check out their debut. But isn't that just the tragedy of metalcore? If not for scenesters ruining the sound and driving off so many potential band members, metalcore could really have become one of the most innovative genres in all of metal history, but instead Killswitch Engage and Trivium happened, and now we must scrounge for the relatively few bands who ignored the contempt. It's awesome that so many bands did rise above the persecution, but it's bull**** that they had to.

Sylosis have a lotta metalcore influence but they're definitely metal above all (you know, metal as according to people who don't think BTBAM is metal)

Mad thrash/epic and progressive melodeath, the debut is good but honestly each album just gets better. They have the occasional breakdown which us generally fairly sick too.

I do too to an extent, but the amount of evil they've done for the genre outweighs the good of their few decent albums. They do have some monster tracks though that I would hate to lose.

Trivium could probably rule, but they all got together and just decided "hey let's suck" instead or something

i wish the roles could be reversed so like there was an abundance of super raw ass metalcore and then also some catchy scene kid stuff hidden in the underground.

metalcore basically had, and still has the potential to be the best thing to ever happen to metal music.
