I'll take Decade Of Aggression over every studio album by Slayer.
If only because it spans their entire career, but the performances don't outstrip their studio versions to any great extent, unlike Overkill. I find it entirely possible that Overkill could have smoked Slayer on stage, regardless of the time period.

I've always thought that I didn't really care about Kreator after Terrible Certainty. I've never been their biggest fan, but after their first three they lost too much of that raw intensity and became too much of a generic thrash band. Extreme Aggression and Coma of Souls are all of a sudden clicking with me though. Might become a legit Kreator fan in the near future. I still think they probably would have been better had they pursued extreme metal instead of thrash though.
