Been trying to get into black metal, right now I've just been listening to Burzum, Mayhem, Darkthrone, and Bathory's first album a lot

Darkthrone are great, "A Blaze in the Northern Sky" is easily one of my favorite metal albums.

Immortal have a few albums I really love as well. Especially this one:

I think I might like Jouhou more than The Inalienable Dreamless. It's not as complex and bat****, but I think it's more brutal and straightforward. It also helps that the production isn't as dry.

And their vocalist is still an absolute monster. God I love grindcore.

Discordance Axis ****ing rips. Jouhou and Dreamless are about the same for me. Jon Chang kills it vocal-wise
