I feel like Unbroken was the band Earth Crisis could have been if they'd had the ability to sound like anything but a hardcore band who liked Pantera. OMG they ****ing ruled.

So for some reason I'm listening to the new Hatebreed album, and instrumentally it's pretty solid. Too bad Jamey Jasta can't make it through a song without saying something so lame that it would make ICP cringe.

Get over it. Hatebreed are morons, but they beat ass. Disconnect your brain and mosh on the inside. There's no other way to listen to them.

Yeah this album is actually pretty sweet (again aside from that horrid lyrics) it's seriously the stuff to keep you head banging for days.

Like I said, just ignore the lyrics. Hatebreed are a band that wish they could be a NYHC band, and the bands they wish they could be are just as goofy. Forget about justifying any of that "positive" bull****, cause it's all scene nonsense that is no different from juggalo family silliness.

Just punch some dude in the head and get over it.

And if you dig that ****, then listen to this...

Wow, I expect a lot better from you than that. The first track was actually fairly decent, but the vocalist in the second one sounds like an overweight man choking on a hot dog and the last track reminds me of a Nu-metal song but this vocalist likes to hold the microphone a little too close to his mouth.

The riffs were alright I guess, but nowhere near good enough to make up for the subpar everything else. Next.

We can't all be men. Just think of it all being somewhere between Hatebreed and Arkangel. All of it being closer to either Pantera (Irate) or Slayer (Stampin' Ground). For some good **** that came before all of that, and is somewhat immune from the bad ****...

Putting Arkangel in the same post as any of these bands is pure blasphemy, but still, that Merauder track is actually pretty solid, and the ridiculous video makes it even better. I'll give you that one.

Arkangel is pretty similar to a lot of those bands, they just made an art out of welding Slayer leads to their music in a way that most bands could only dream of. And no love for Unbroken? The **** is wrong with you? Out of all the bands I just posted, they're the only one I would post without an asterisk for people who like metalcore that isn't goofy.

End of a Lifetime didn't jump out at me much on the first listen, but yeah, listening to it again it's pretty solid as well I suppose. None of these bands have a glaring flaw as big as Jeremy Jasta's lyrics, and I can listen to Hatebreed, so I have a feeling I'll definitely be coming back to a few of these. More likely to be the last 3 than the first 3 though.
