I got a couple Gaza albums on my hard drive that I need to get more into. They're denser than what I'm used to in metalcore, so I am intrigued. Mid-to-late 90's metalcore was seriously one of the best periods in metal history.

Gaza were a mid 2000s early 2010s band, but I definitely agree on that time frame being one of the best periods. I think the genre gets held back a lot because of the more popular acts who follow the whole Killswitch and Trivium mold, but it will always be one of my favourite genres because of shit like Gaza.

I would seriously recommend checking these guys out if you haven't already, they call themselves "blackened hardcore" or something stupid like that, but regardless of what you call it it's pretty sweet.
