Yes it is. I especially love the intro to the opening track. Never has grind sounded so beautiful. I don't know how a song can be so soft and yet so intense at the same time, but "Constant Autumn" pulls it off like the idea should have been obvious from the start.

I think I'm gonna go add it to the Wild Card battle for the Metal Survivor thread. I took it off since I already had a Discordance Axis album on the grind list (if you haven't checked that band, then do so, as they are sort of the prologue to Gridlink), and I think this is one of those cases where a wrong was committed.

I know exactly what you mean, it gives off a sort of post-metal vibe, but obviously that's not what it is. Their blend of disgusting, hate-filled chaos with the more technical and impressive aspects is unlike anything I've heard on a grind record.

I actually just finished downloading The Inalienable Dream so I'm looking forward to hearing it. There's an open spot on the wildcard anyway since Jane Doe made it in through the metalcore division.

You NEED Bucket Full of Teeth's IV in your life. It's powerviolence, but close the **** enough, and it's got some of the same vibe going on, but far more, and it's actually even more intense at the same time. Absolutely ****ing brilliant.

Still one of the best metal albums ever.

A Hopeful Sound feels like the biggest clusterfuck of noise ever. The whole album feels like they managed to cram so many different things into just 17 minutes, and I really dig that.

Also, Capital Distracts reminds me a lot of Deafheaven. I know, I know, hipster metal, but the guitar passage around the 5 second mark in the track sounds like it was pulled straight from New Bermuda.

Powerviolence is kind of hipster grind for some odd reason. I blame pretentious punks, Man Is the Bastard, and hipsters with metal tendencies. But Bucket Full of Teeth is still awesome.

Yeah, I probably could have worded that better.

I haven't heard a whole lot of power-violence, where's a good place to start?
