You know what, Ringworm are awesome, but I don't need drunk music. By sheer stupidity and carelessness I just failed a class that my grandmother payed for out of love and a desire to see me make something of myself. I need self-destructive music expressing disgust with one's own inability to be a functional human being. 29-years-old and I can't even go six months without letting myself and everyone around me down.

**** all you whiny bitches with your irrational self-pity about not being able to get laid or make friends. Come at me when you've just blown a chance your family gave you that you never deserved in the first place because you were too pathetic to escape a cycle of uselessness you've been stuck in your whole life.

And **** anyone who tries to force feed me platitudes about not giving up or getting back on the horse. I'm wallowing in self-pity and I'll thank you all to either call me an idiot or shut the **** up. It's times like these that I wish I could just take myself out of everyone else's misery without causing them even more emotional harm than I already am.

Shut the **** up.

Thank you, bog jumper.

Yep, still the best thing I've ever heard.

Really getting into Stampin' Ground. They're sort of to non-poseur metalcore what Leng Tch'e are to grindcore: uncomplicated metal that will never be as mind-blowing as their respective genre leader contemporaries, but so badass that they satisfy on a mindless, primal level that their fellow second-tier bands can't, even if those groups are more creative. The heavy groove metal influence of both doesn't hurt the comparison either.

A comparison to grinders Phobia is also not inappropriate in that context.

My first death metal band. This album destroys, gnar tremolos for days, just all around shredding

I've not always been the biggest Integrity fan, but god damn it if this isn't some truly badass metalcore (though more 'core than metal). Some of the most epic breakdowns in history. One of the few occasions a song actually starts with a breakdown and it works perfectly.

Plodding, dense metal with a vocalist who sounds like he's screaming with his mouth gagged is just what I needed.

Whether or not Hawkwind were ever a metal band this is still one of the greatest metal songs ever recorded. Badass, sinister, and trippy all at the same time. It feels like what Baroness were trying to do with their Red Album, but kicks more ass. Warrior on the Edge of Time is an album which just has me by the balls. It feels weird to say that about a prog album. Next time I cop a dub, this is the first album I'm throwing on.
