I'd just rather listen to Converge or Snapcase or Poison the Well or Arkangel or whoever, than I would BTBAM's metalcore sound. Their early music doesn't really do a whole lot for me past the first couple of songs.

The riff to this is one the best I've ever heard.

What do you consider their earlier stuff? Anything from Alaska back or..? I actually really enjoy Alaska.

Pretty much. Cool for a couple songs, then it's time to find something else to listen to. Of course, I feel the same way about the Dillinger Escape Plan's first album, and mathcore can be just unlistenable in general.

The Dillinger Escape Plan is a band that I think is pretty good, but like you said: math core is unlistenable at times. I get bored pretty quick. I'd like to see them live to see if that changes my mind.

I've heard they're pretty amazing live. I'd definitely ditch work to see them.

All I got from The Dillinger Escape Plan show I saw when they opened for Deftones, was a band fronted by a huge douchebag almost as bad as Fred Durst is. The Dillinger Escape Plan aren't horrible, I like some of their music, but I would not pay money to see them again. Every member aside from their drummer acted like they were a god send to the stage, and I was nothing but irritated their entire set. So when Deftones finally came on, I was relieved to finally be watching a band that understands the difference between a great show, great entertainment, as apposed to The Dillinger Escape Plan who had it confused for a near 45 minute set of stroking their ego and showing their maturity level.

But by all means. Pay a near $30 ticket price for one of their shows, maybe you'll catch them when they aren't wanting to be dicks and showing a complete lack of professionalism.

Oh, almost forgot to post what I'm jamming to...

Burton C. Bell, powerhouse voice in Metal. Always liked how he sounds.

I'll take the opinion of a Deftones fan with a grain of salt, thank you very much.

The only thing worse than sitting through a bad math core album is sitting through a Deftones album..

I don't care about you disliking Deftones. I happen to really like them and that's fine man. But don't devalue my opinion or dismiss it because of the fact I'm a fan of Deftones, Batty you are better than that. You've posted up some stuff I found horrific, but you won't see me being dismissive of things you say because of it.

Fact remains that when I saw The Dillinger Escape Plan, I was pretty disappointed, far, far from impressed.

You're new. This post just reads like a "I'm going to agree with that guy about something and see if I get cool points" sort of post. So this post holds no merit for me

Or, it's your actual opinion, either way doesn't matter.
