Beyond the Realms of Death is both morbid and epic, from the band's best album.

Three decades later and Girlschool are still in top form. If they can still pump out such perfect braindead rock after all these years, then what's AC/DC's excuse?

I've not listened to much groove, but what I've listened to didn't really impress me, so I'm inclined to agree. Good power metal is awesome, but the bands often just end up being ridiculous parodies of themselves (right now I'm listening to a band named Dragon Guardian, they will be featured in my journal). Not really sure what to think about power metal as a whole yet. Good thrash is great, but there's just a thin line separating the good stuff from the average, uninteresting stuff, since a lot of the riffs are just variations of the same chugging. Welp, metal is hit or miss.

When you have learned humility as I have, you will understand the glory of power metal.
