Alright, so my friends and I decided to listen to this in our little album club. **** that decision. This is crap, and it lasts for over an hour.

Now I feel unclean for listening to false metal.

Meh. I don't see it as false metal, just nondescript quasi-extreme metal, somewhere in the melodic death metal zone. Vocals suck, though.

Filthy death/doom with a vocalist who sounds like he eats glass professionally from a band who only ever released one demo? **** the **** yeah!

I've been spinning the new Machine Head album for over a week now, still not bored with it, never will be bored with it. They truly released a landmark album for their career with Bloodstone & Diamonds, straight up, kickass Metal driving in your brain like a drill. This is just a taste.

I've listened to a lot of new Metal this year, all across the board of it. And nothing has been this good. So much good things going on with this record. I feel that Machine Head have really honed their craft to near perfection, and they can only go up from here. Another thing to mention is that I have heard Rob Flynn really stepping up as a singer. His voice is just so powerful now and he really has become one of the best frontmen in Metal.

Batty, this sounds really good, and it has a cool cover.

Gotta start the day with some Danzig.

Danzig might be the first band that I have no idea wtf you and the Batlord see in them. I see a laughably bad vocalist and a hollow sound that is in no way heavy metal.

Danzig is enjoyable to poke fun at, but its catchy and simple stuff, no harm in that. We've all got "those bands". Personally I only dig that album Briks posted, mainly for Mother.

Riffs for days, evil blues vibe, fun lyrics, and a BRILLIANT vocalist who sounds like a malevolent Elvis or Jim Morrison.

I don't like music where the singer screams, so I think I don't like heavy metal. However, I like the little bit of Metallica my darling introduced me to--Fade to Black and Master of Puppets.
