Yeah, remastered versions have usually let us down... we'd better stick to the original versions. I've been hooked on "Sex & Religion", by VAI (the band). It's a kind of progressive heavy metal album. As old as flawless!

But I don't mean to discount your points about Killing is my Business, which are good. |

Entirely possible that this is my favorite metal album of all time. The slow, grinding, doom metal riffs are among the best I've ever heard. The epic gloriousness rouses the blood and makes one wish that they had just bought that damn broadsword rather than pay their rent. And the vocals are just the right mix of raw and clean. RIP Quorthon...even if you were a racist prick.
Edit: As much as people go on about how Blood, Fire, Death was the forerunner of Hammerheart I think that's nonsense. Under the Sign of the Black Mark was the true point of departure.I mean just listen to this and tell me that Hammerheart wasn't around the corner. Quorthon was just too scared to go all the way and make such a drastic departure at that time. |
I've been really getting into these guys lately. It's nice to hear a metal band that have a different sort of rhythm. Still metal as hell. |
Used to have that album. Now I don't. Sad.

Is it just me or does the main riff to this song sound like it was lifted from "Die By the Sword" by Slayer? Bitchin' song either way.

Oh and I noticed... The H kinda looks like an L and the Y looks like a D. Is there some bloody deep dark message you're trying to tell us? |
