You mean after Horror Show, or just a few years ago? Cause he came back for the second Framing Armageddon album to replace Tim Owens. Apparently he was only back for one album though. Of course, I still got to see them in concert when Barlow was back, so all is not lost. And they ruled BTW.
I never understood why they never rerecorded the rest of Night of the Stormrider with Matt Barlow. They already did most of the songs for Days of Purgatory, so why not just go all the way? It would have been beyond epic. The only thing that stopped that album from being on par with Dark Saga (and yes my opinion on that album has changed, again) or Something Wicked This Way Comes were the vocals.

Man, Ufomammut's later work is tripped out, spaced out, and just generally so out in left field they don't even know somebody hit the ball, but their first album is much more traditional stoner/doom. It also happens to be one of the most fantastic stoner/doom albums I've ever heard. The riffs are heavy-as-**** and catchy-as-sin, and those synths may not be as bizarre as on later albums, but they still make this album seem out of this world.

Got my eyes on a copy of this album at the local hole-in-the-wall record store. They've also got some Stooges and Velvet Underground albums I've been needing.
